Reverend Kevin R. Conger is pastor of Hope Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas. He came in July of 2000 to serve as vicar for one year. One year later, the congregation called him to serve as pastor. On July 22, 2001, he was ordained into the holy ministry and installed to serve at Hope Lutheran Church. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and educated through the Lutheran system. He attended Lutheran High School East, in Harper Woods, Michigan. He received his B.A. degree through the Concordia University System, from Concordia Ann Arbor, Michigan. He attended Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, from 1997 – 2000 where he received his M. Div. degree in 2001. Pastor Conger has served at Hope Lutheran Church for the past 20 years.
Pastor Conger has served as Circuit Visitor for the North Little Rock circuit for the past 8 and a half years and is currently junior counselor for LWML. He served as a delegate to the synodical convention in 2013. He was nominated for district vice-president in 2018. He has served the community by working with veterans through the VA and more local committees that provide direction and information concerning veteran benefits. He served as a board member and later as chairman for Lutheran High School in Little Rock.
Reverend Conger and his wife Lois (nee Haselhuhn), have two children and two grandchildren. Pastor and his wife currently reside in Jacksonville, AR.
