Welcome to all the upcoming events at Hope!
In June, we had our annual Vacation Bible Study outreach event. Through stories and crafts the children learned about Joseph and what God’s plans were for the children of Israel. They also heard about how God loves, directs, and cares for them too. Everyone had a great time, and the children always love the water ballons at the end. Thanks to everyone that helped with this event. See the snapshot page for the pictures.
July, Hope wrapped up our cereal drive for our local Jacksonville Care Channel. Wow! There was a lot of food donated for this outreach in our community.
Throughout August and September, the collection for personal care kits for the Lutheran World Relief goes into full swing. These kits will be assembled In October and delivered to the designated drop off in November. Please bring in any of these items: metal nail clippers, sturdy comb, single wrapped toothbrush, bath size bars of soap, bath towel 52” x 27”. There will be containers in the narthex for all these items. Thanks for your help.
Upcoming Dates to remember:
Tuesday, August 19 – Women of Hope meeting will discuss plans for upcoming bake sale and Oktoberfest. Meet in the fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 24 – End of month potluck luncheon after service, which is always tasty. This month will include our annual bake sale with the proceeds going toward the mission work of our LWML Women of Hope throughout the world.
Saturday, September 13 – Men’s Bible study breakfast at Hope in the fellowship hall at 8:00 a.m. The study of the Book of Revelation continues. Please come join the men.
Sunday, September 28 – Let’s wrap up the month with our fun end of month potluck lunch.

Regularly Scheduled Bible Study
Bible Study — 9:00 am every Sunday. Come and join the study on Luther’s Small Catechism, donuts and coffee are provided.
Wednesday Zoom Bible Study — 9:00 am every Wednesday. Join the study of the Book of Concord.
Evening Bible study on the Book of Genesis on Wednesday 6:00 p.m.
Monthly men’s breakfast Bible study of the Book of Revelation meets the second Saturday of the month here at Hope fellowship hall at 8 a.m.
